UncategorizedThe photo above was taken when CKT was around two-years-old. Today he turned eight-years-old. He had a nice birthday weekend. Last night we took him and two of his friends to the Greensboro Grasshoppers game, then brought them all back to the house for a sleepover. This morning we all ate coffee cake and opened gifts. After church we went to Burger Warfare for lunch, then ate a Dr. Pepper cake with ice cream.
I didn’t work on my manuscripts today, but that’s not to say I didn’t do anything worthwhile.

For several years, I’ve thought about buying a set of Willow Creek angels and painting their faces to look like the band KISS. But those angels are too expensive for a novelty art project. A couple weeks ago, though, I found some knock-offs at Dollar General. Four bucks later, I’ve got my KISS angels.
My manuscript is still slow-going. I was feeling depressed about its progress this afternoon until I watched the end of the second season of Bojack Horseman. The closing few minutes resonated with me, and encouraged me to work on the project. Then I realized I must be in pretty sad shape when I can be encouraged by an episode of Bojack Horseman.
